Waterparks in Omaha

Though Omaha is landlocked in the middle of America, residents and visitors' splash and swim year-round at local water parks. Each provide different attractions and features, but guests of all ages and abilities are welcome. Water slides, lazy rivers and wave pools provide hours of fun while lifeguards keep everyone safe.
  1. CoCo Key Water Resort

    • With over 60,000 square feet of water play, this indoor water park is open year-round. It's housed in the CoCo Key Water Resort-Hotel and Convention Center, just off Interstate 80. Guests can stay in the hotel and enjoy complimentary water park passes or stay elsewhere and purchase day and seasonal passes.

The Coco Key Water Resort has an indoor/outdoor hot tub, a zero-depth entry kiddie pool called the "Dip-In Theatre", two tube slides, a raft slide and a quick-moving lazy river that's only 2 feet 6 inches deep, so most ages can enjoy it. Younger children have the Parrot's Perch, a colorful water-play station with multiple levels, four slides and a large dump bucket that empties out every few minutes. There is also a play pool with basketball nets and a skill course.

When guests want some time out of the water, they can sunbathe on the outdoor deck, order some food from two on-site restaurants, get a drink from the bar or go in the Key Quest Arcade.

Changing rooms and restrooms are on-site, as are lockers, tables and chairs and pay-for-use cabanas. Towels are not provided to guests not staying in the hotel, and outside food and drink is not allowed.

    Wet 'N' Wild Water Park

    • Known as Nebraska's largest water park, the Wet 'N' Wild Water Park is part of Omaha's Fun Plex. This seasonal water park has a lazy river to float on, water slides over 500 feet high, and a wave pool called the Motion Ocean, which produces the largest waves in Nebraska. Kids 9 years old and younger have access to a kiddie pool where they can safely splash and play.

With a carnival-type atmosphere, several food vendors and game stations line the property. You can play 18 holes of miniature golf or ride the only roller coaster in the state. The Fun Plex has rides for all ages and abilities, from the Tilt-A-Whirl to the Fun Plex Express. If you're at least 13 and very brave, you can check out Nightmare on Q Street, a haunted house that graces the property.

Changing rooms and restrooms are on-site, along with lockers, benches and tables and chairs. Bring your own towel but leave all food and beverages at home.

    Zorinsky Family Aquatic Center

    • The newest Omaha water park is the Zorinsky Family Aquatic Center. It opened the summer of 2010 on the west side of the city. Guests enjoy two flume-style slides and a zero-depth toddler pool. There is also a large interactive play set situated in the center of the shallow pool, which has a large dump bucket, slides and water features for young children to play with. Off the shallow pool is a lap pool with two lanes for swimming and a deep area for play. This water park comfortably accommodates up to 400 guests.

You have several options of admission at Zorinsky. Day passes, seasonal passes and multiple-use punch cards are available to purchase. The season passes are good at all Omaha City Recreational facilities, including neighborhood splash parks and general city swimming pools.

This seasonal facility has food on-site, as well as changing rooms and restrooms. A large canopy provides shade while the expansive deck encourages people to lounge in the chairs provided.
