Hawaii Weather Guide

Hawaii enjoys mild temperatures year-round. Its weather varies more from place to place than from season to season. Hawaii has two seasons: a dry summer season and a wet winter season.
  1. Temperature

    • In Hawaii, temperatures range from the mid-70s to the mid-80s Fahrenheit, with warmer temperatures at beach level and cooler temperatures on its volcanic mountains. Temperature also varies depending on your location on the islands, as the sides sheltered from the wind are generally hot and dry while the sides that receive the full brunt of the wind are usually cooler and moist.

    Precipitation

    • Hawaii's dry season is from April to October and its rainy season is from November to March. While it rains daily somewhere on the islands, year-round, it rarely rains in one place for longer than three days in a row.

    Microclimates

    • Because of its wide range of natural environments, weather in Hawaii can vary widely from place to place. From interior valleys to coastal plains and volcanic mountains, Hawaii's climate can change drastically in a few hours of travel because it's cooler at higher altitudes, wetter in interior valleys and drier on beaches.
