Durty Nellies is one of the premier music venues of the Chicago suburbs. It is located in Palatine, just a few miles northwest of Arlington Heights. Durty Nellies hosts local and national bands and DJs several times a week from all genres of music. There is a large dance floor set up in front of the elevated stage, with a massive sound and light system. The bar is at the back of the room and serves a variety of cocktails and dozens of beers from around the world on tap. Durty Nellies also has a restaurant in a separate room that serves lunch and dinner every day. The bar also offers a limited menu each night. Durty Nellies is open everyday from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

Heat Nightclub is a low-key club in Schaumburg, about 5 miles southwest of Arlington Heights. The music played at the club is usually a mix of Top 40, house and other dance music. Do not expect to be challenged musically or hear anything new; the tunes are easy to dance to and popular, so if you are looking for a unique music experience, this is not your place. Heat has a full bar and an outdoor patio with heat lamps for those crisp Chicago nights. Cover charge is between $5 and $10. The club is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; it is open from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Thursdays and Sundays, and from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Temptations is a gay and lesbian club in Franklin Park, about 15 miles south of Arlington Heights. Anyone is welcome, but if you are uncomfortable with the gay and lesbian scene, this is not the place for you. Urban dance music usually is played in the club, though is also offers karaoke on Sundays and Thursdays. There also are pool tables and free pool on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The club is closed Mondays and open the rest of the week from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., except on Fridays and Saturdays, when the club stays open until 3 a.m.
