Timeshare weeks 51 or 52 of the year usually include Dec. 25 and the Christmas school vacation holidays. This is the most popular, in-demand week of the timeshare industry. The following week, either week 52 or week 1 of the next year including Jan. 1, follows as a close second as the "hottest" weeks available. These are considered red or prime designations, according to various timeshare trading companies such as RCI, Vacation International and Interval Internationale also known as II.
At most timeshare resorts worldwide, July weeks are prime use and trade weeks for owners. The first two weeks, which in the U.S. includes the Fourth of July weekend, are more difficult to buy or secure an exchange. All of July most likely falls into the red or prime zone at many resort destinations.
There are some luxurious resorts that are in high demand all year long that fall into the category of offering all 52 "hot" weeks of timeshare opportunities. Many Hawaii timeshare resorts such as Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Waikoloa Beach Resort and Ka'anapali Beach Club in Maui are designated red zone, Gold Crown resorts every week of the year. Many other international resorts are also designated as most in-demand for the full year.
