View over 50,000 pieces of artwork at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. The museum is surrounded by 152 acres of gardens designed by the Olmstead Brothers, and offers free admission. Built of native materials including limestone and sandstone, the Indiana State Museum includes exhibits from all 92 Indiana counties. You can take in a movie in the museum’s six-story IMAX theater and dine in one of the two restaurants. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum displays racing cars and trophies. Take a bus tour of the racing oval, visit the gift shop and watch a theater presentation of historic race footage.
Choose from two 18-hole courses designed by Pete Dye in 1975 at the Eagle Creek Golf Club. You will find another Pete Dye-designed gold course, Brickyard Crossing, on the grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Play four holes inside the famous oval. The park houses the Museum of 20th Century Warfare, where you can learn about the soldiers once stationed at Fort Harrison. Downtown, the Canal Walk takes you along the waterway and through White River State Park. While at White River State Park, check out the White River Gardens and the Indianapolis Zoo. The park also offers walking paths, biking and pedal boats for rent.

Hear the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra as it presents classical, pop and holiday music at the Hilbert Circle Theater. During the summer, the Symphony performs outdoors at the Marsh Symphony on the Prairie Series at Conner Prairie, six miles north of Indianapolis. Enjoy big band selections played by the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra. The Jazz Orchestra performs at a variety of venues around the city.
