  1. The Wildwood Boardwalk

    • The boardwalk is one of the most exciting places to be at the Wildwoods. It is 2 miles long and includes five amusement piers in addition to a variety of carnival games, shops, food stands, waterparks and roller coasters. The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority boasts, "the Wildwood Boardwalk has more rides than Disneyland."

    Beach

    • Wildwoods beach is 5 miles long with powdery-white sands and was ranked as one of "America's 10 Best Beaches" by the Travel Channel. Opened free of charge to the public, the beach is home to several events, including championship volleyball tournaments, monster truck rallies, motocross races, Hobie Cat races, concerts and the Wildwoods International Kite Festival.

    Attractions

    • There are many attractions in the Wildwoods. Located along the boardwalk, Morey's Piers Beachfront Waterpark has three piers, including Surfside Pier, Morey's Mariner's Landing and Adventure Pier. Each pier features thrill rides, family rides and kiddie roller coaster rides. At Morey's Mariner's Landing, you can rent cabanas and enjoy full spa services. A must-see attraction is the 507-acre Cape May National Wildlife Refuge in Wildwood Crest. On this national preserve, you can hike nature trails and watch wildlife and a variety of bird species.

      At the Surfside Pier, you can ride the Sky Coaster, get wet at the Ocean Oasis Water Park and Beach Club. There is fun for the whole family, including a Bonsai Beach interactive children's play area, a 1,000-foot long Endless River ride, the demolition derby and water slides. Visitors can enjoy the Grand Prix Raceway, Spring Shot simulating bungee jumping, Mini Scrambler and Apache Helicopters at the Adventure Pier.

    Other Recreation

    • Throughout the season, the Wildwoods host more than 180 free events. The entire family can enjoy free outdoor concerts six nights a week and free fireworks on the boardwalk every Friday night. In addition, there are weekly craft shows, motorcycle shows, classic car shows, cultural and ethnic festivals, food festivals, music festivals, concerts and parades. Other sporting events include fishing tournaments, the Christmas in July Boat Parade, Monster Truck and Motocross races on the beach and a baby parade. Other activities include golfing, jet skiing, parasailing, wave running, surfing, kayaking, sailing, speedboat rentals, scenic boat cruises and dolphin and whale watching. With so many activities, you have more than one reason to visit Wildwood, New Jersey.
