Disney is a popular vacation destination, especially for families with children. Disney has worked over the years to create the most enjoyable and convenient vacation possible for families. Long lines are often one of the biggest issues that visitors to a Disney park encounter. When young children are along, these long lines can lead to cranky, whiny behavior. Disney created the Fastpass system to help alleviate these long lines. Fastpasses are available for free for the most popular rides and are only available the day of your visit.
Proceed to the ride for which you would like a Fastpass. The most popular rides in each park will have a fastpass kiosk near the ride's entrance for visitors to obtain their fastpass. These rides will feature the fastpass logo on the park map. The projected time for the fastpass return will be displayed on a board above the kiosks.
Insert your park ticket into the kiosk. You will need to insert a different park ticket for each member of your party that would like a fastpass for that ride. The kiosk will issue you a paper ticket with the time-frame you are allowed to come back printed on it.
Return within the time printed on your fastpass. You will not need to stand in the regular ride line when you return with your fastpass. There will be a special fastpass line to enter where you will hand your fastpass to the cast member at the entrance to the line.
