Straddling the Nevada-California state line in the Sierra Nevadas, Lake Tahoe offers something for everyone. Alpine Meadow offers complimentary shuttle service daily to the mountain from most Lake Tahoe lodges. The resort includes eight restaurants on the mountain. The main lodge hosts an indoor play area for children. Lessons for all level of skiers are available. Also on the mountain are three individual terrain parks for skiing and snowboarding, all groomed each evening. One terrain park is for kids and beginners, while another is suitable for intermediate skiers and the third is for the advanced level.

The Village at Squaw Valley has one, two and three bedroom condos for rent, with access to hot tubs and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The Christy Inn, Red Wolf Lodge and Resort at Squaw Creek are just a few of the many places to stay in the area. Ski lessons and clinics are offered for specific groups, including women, kids of various ages, advanced skiers and complete beginners. Private ski and snowboard lessons are available.
