    • Forbidden City has a large dining and bar area, which has eight booths and plasma televisions. Upstairs is the Mezzanine/VIP section. The VIP lounge has a roof that can be retracted on nice nights, its own bar and an overlook of the dining room. The club also has an outdoor patio with views of the Capitol Records building and a bar room that features house music. The club is decorated in warm, mainly reddish colors with intimate lighting. The club features DJs in all three sections of the club, playing electronic, house and underground music. Cocktails, beer, wine and food are moderately priced.

    Little Temple

    • Little Temple is open Wednesday through Sunday and is decorated with a Buddhist theme, including Asian lanterns, rock gardens and votive candles. The club features resident and national DJs, spinning reggae, Top 40, house and hip-hop music, and also has live music. The club is broken up into four areas. The main area is where the stage is, and the foyer has booths for relaxing. The Moroccan lounge has an Afghan Bedroom, where guests can lay on a communal bed. There are also two private rooms, which can be reserved for parties. Cover prices vary, and drinks, which include specialty cocktails, are moderately priced.

    Jewel's Catch One

    • Jewel's Catch One was the first African American gay and lesbian club in the nation when it opened in 1972. The club is now a dance club, featuring DJs, karaoke nights, live music and Gothic music. The club features three dance floors and three bars, and the lower level has a vegan restaurant and hosts weekly theme parties. Music ranges from hip-hop to R&B to disco to techno. Off-street parking is provided. Cover charges vary, and drinks are inexpensive.
