How to Swim With Dolphins at Disney World

Walt Disney World's dolphins are one of the main attractions at Epcot's The Seas with Nemo and Friends. The huge pavilion has a special area devoted to the dolphins, and the Dolphins in Depth Tour allows guests to get in the water with them. The three-hour tour, held on weekday mornings only, includes a backstage tour as guests learn about The Seas pavilion and the dolphins. The final half hour is spent in the water with the dolphins.

Instructions

  1. Planning and Preparation

    • 1

Plan your vacation to Walt Disney World, and identify which dates you will be able to take the Dolphins in Depth Tour at Epcot. The tour is held on weekday mornings only.

    • 2

Call 407-WDW-TOUR or 407-939-8687 and make reservations for the Dolphins in Depth Tour. The small tour groups fill up quickly so make the reservations as far in advance as possible. Be flexible. If the date you wanted is full, try one of the other dates during your vacation.

    • 3

Print or write down your reservation details, including the date, time and meeting location of your tour. Take the information with you to Walt Disney World for easy reference.

    • 4

On the day of your Dolphins in Depth Tour, pack your bathing suit and a towel. If you want to spend time at Epcot after your tour, belongings can be stored in a locker. Rental lockers are located inside the front gate at Epcot.

    • 5

A ticket is required for entrance into Epcot. Many vacation packages include tickets for park entry. Otherwise, purchase a ticket at the front entrance to Epcot if you plan to spend the remainder of your day there.

    • 6

Arrive early for your tour. Even if you have visited Epcot in the past, it can still be daunting to find a new location. Allow extra time for finding the meeting place for the Dolphins in Depth Tour.
