As of 2010, Walt Disney World has four theme parks and two water parks, and a number of hotels and restaurants within the resort. Walt Disney World opened in 1971 after the success of Disneyland in California.

  1. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

    • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is located in Fantasyland and is specifically designed for younger children and toddlers. This ride takes visitors through the Hundred-Acre Wood, and automated characters from the popular book and movies interact with each other. An upbeat soundtrack plays throughout the ride. Riders explore Pooh's favorite haunts and follow the adventures of Pooh and his friends.

This indoor ride is slow moving and each car seats four people. Flash photography is not allowed on this ride. Certain sections of the ride, including a rainstorm, could frighten young children.

    Mickey's PhilharMagic

    • Mickey's PhilharMagic is in Fantasyland and stars many of Disney's famous characters, including Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. This 3-D movie shows clips from some classic Disney films on one of the world's largest 3-D screens. The premise is that Donald has stolen Mickey's magic wand and tries to create mischief. Instead, he is taken on a tour through old Disney animated films.

The movie lasts 12 minutes. Disney has added some special effects within the theater to make the attraction more interactive. This attraction is appropriate for young children and toddlers, and Reflective Captioning is available. This ride is indoors.

    LEGO Imagination Centre

    • The LEGO Imagination Centre is a shop with an outdoor LEGO park. In this area, kids can play with LEGO pieces and see pre-made models. The outdoor park offers a variety of activities for young children. A LEGO sea serpent inhabits the lake by the store and other displayed characters are made out of the plastic pieces.

This shop is in the Marketplace section of Downtown Disney. This is both an indoor and outdoor activity.

    Kilimanjaro Safaris

    • Kilimanjaro Safaris is in Disney's Animal Kingdom. This safari takes families on a safari vehicle ride through an assortment of animal habitats, where you can view wild animals in their natural habitat. Animals that can be seen on the safari include lions, elephants, giraffes and hippopotamus. The ride starts with news that poachers have stolen a baby elephant, and your vehicle takes off to save the elephant. This then leads to the exploration of the wildlife habitats.

While this ride can be enjoyed by people of all ages, including toddlers, visitors with certain medical conditions, including motion sickness or back problems, should probably skip the ride. Flash photography is not allowed on this ride. This is an outdoor activity.
