The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida is one of the world's most popular vacation destinations. It is home to an assortment of themed hotels, two water parks, four theme parks and numerous attractions, shops, entertainment venues and restaurants.
There are four theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort. Walt Disney World opened in 1971 with one theme park known as the Magic Kingdom. EPCOT Theme Park opened in 1982, Disney MGM Studios was added in 1989 and the Animal Kingdom Theme Park opened in 1998.

In addition to the shops and restaurants located throughout each theme park and in each hotel, the resort also has two entertainment districts -- Disney's Boardwalk and Downtown Disney. Each of these locations has a wide variety of shops and restaurants.
Additional attractions at Walt Disney World include four award-winning golf courses, a miniature golf course, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Cirque du Soleil, spas, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
