The Auto Collections at Imperial Palace in Las Vegas is one of the leading attractions for car enthusiasts visiting the city. According to its website, AutoCollections.com, it is the largest classic car showroom in the world. Unlike a museum, visitors can actually purchase the vehicles on display.
The showroom has more than 250 cars on display at any time, covering more than 125,000 square feet.
The museum includes well-known brands, along with rare automobiles, for sale or trade. Notable vehicles have included Johnny Carson's 1939 Chrysler and a 1928 Mercedes valued at more than $5 million.
The inventory also includes Cadillacs, Chevrolets, Packards, Rolls Royces, Porsches and Ferraris.
In addition to buying and selling automobiles The Auto Collections attracts auto clubs from all over the world to its showroom and can accommodate meetings, banquets and tours.
The showroom is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is located on the fifth floor of the Imperial Palace's parking garage. Admission as of 2009 is $8.95 for adults and $5 for seniors and children. (Check for updated admission rates before visiting.)
