Information About Asiana Airlines

Asiana Airlines is a Korean airline founded in 1988. The company's headquarters are in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Asiana operates both domestic and international routes and has a fleet of 68 aircraft. The airline is a member of Star Alliance, an association of international carriers.

    • Asiana has offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and New York with direct flights to Seoul Incheon airport, the airline's international hub. The company also offers flights from London, Paris and Frankfurt, and is a major carrier in the Chinese and Southeast Asian market. Asiana's domestic service is based at Gimpo airport.

    Recognition

    • Asiana won the Skytrax Airline of the Year award in May 2010. The award is based on a customer survey of approximately 18 million airline passengers from 100 countries. The award is recognized by the travel industry as one of the few independent passenger surveys.

    Asiana Club

    • Asiana offers three air mile club schemes -- Asiana Club, Asiana Magic Miles and Asiana Corporate Club. The Magic Miles club is for children under 11. The Corporate Club is open to any company with 10 or more employees; this is reduced to five employees for American companies.
