Each passenger on jetBlue may check one piece of luggage with total dimensions not more than 62 (linear) inches and weight not more than 50 lbs. Excess, overweight and oversized baggage is checked if space is available. Checking a second bag costs $50, a third bag costs $75, and overweight and oversized fees also apply. All hazardous items prohibited by the TSA are also prohibited by jetBlue, including chemicals, compressed gas, explosives and fuels.
Each jetBlue passenger may carry aboard one bag and one personal item (no larger than 37 1/2 linear inches). Size restrictions on the carry-on depend on the type of airplane being flown. For an A320 it's 56 linear inches and for an Embraer 190 it's 50 linear inches. JetBlue doest not allow garment bags as carry-on nor items prohibited by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA), including sharp objects, tools, explosive materials and loose liquids.
Passengers on jetBlue domestic flights must check in their luggage at least 30 minutes before their flight's departure. Passengers on international flights must check in baggage one hour before departure.
