How to Tip on a 7-Night Carnival Cruise

One reason travelers enjoy cruise vacations so much is the fact that they are semi-all-inclusive. All-inclusive means that your entire trip, including your room, tips, gratuities, taxes, food and beverage, is included in the price of your package. Cruises are not considered all-inclusive because certain beverages and foods are not included in the price of your package. When you book a Carnival cruise, your room, meals, taxes and gratuities are included in the price, but soda and alcoholic beverages are not included. Tipping your servers on a Carnival cruise is simple.

Instructions

    • 1

Tip your servers at the end of your cruise by simply doing nothing. Gratuities of $10 per day, per guest are automatically added to your Sail and Sign Card when you board your ship. This is a mandatory fee to all Carnival cruise passengers.

Offer tips when you feel its appropriate. Despite the fact that tips are automatically paid for by your Sail and Sign Card, you can still offer monetary compensation to your stateroom attendant or room service waiter whenever you choose.

    • 3

Tip your maitre d' an additional amount by using the envelopes left in your stateroom prior to your dinner seating on the last night of the cruise. This is not mandatory, but it is appreciated.
