How to Get a Refund From Royal Caribbean

Sailing around the world on a Royal Caribbean cruise can be a vacation looked forward to for many months, or even years. Unfortunately, a change in plans must be foreseen almost as far ahead of time to get a full refund. Depending on the length of your cruise, you must alert the cruise line of your cancellation 60 to 90 days in advance to receive your money back, but partial refunds are granted--in some cases, up to eight days before setting sail.

Instructions

    • 1

Calculate the number of days before your cruise to determine the refund level you should expect. Royal Caribbean provides a chart determining when a full or partial refund is applicable.

    • 2

Write a letter to Royal Caribbean requesting a refund for the cancellation of your trip. Include your date of departure, length of the cruise and reason for canceling.

    • 3

Send the letter to the country headquarters where you booked the cruise. In the United States, the address is:

      Corporate Guest Relations
      1050 Caribbean Way
      Miami, FL 33132

To find the addresses of international headquarters, consult Royal Caribbean.

    • 4

Date and postmark the letter and make a copy of the postmarked envelope before you send it to Royal Caribbean.

    • 5

Allow 14 days for a response, then call the customer support line at 1-800-256-6649 if you haven't heard back.
