The "Carnival Pride" departs year-round from Baltimore, Maryland, and offers seven- and eight-day cruises. The ship heads either to the Bahamas or the eastern Caribbean, making stops at such ports as Grand Turk, Nassau and Freeport.
There is plenty to do aboard the "Pride." There are nightly performances at the Taj Mahal show lounge, and karaoke events and comedy shows at the Butterflies Lounge. The Ivory Piano Bar and Lounge offers a nightly sing-a-long event, and the Venus Lido pool is available for swimming and relaxing.
The "Carnival Pride" offers specialized events and excursions for all age groups. Camp Carnival caters to 2- to 11-year-olds, with age-appropriate activities and special menus. For older kids and teenagers, Club O2 offers nightly movie screenings, video game tournaments and dancing.
Most cruise ships have an early and a late dining option, but the "Carnival Pride" offers Your Time Dining, allowing guests to show up to the dining room any time during dinner hours and ask to be seated. This is a plus for cruisers looking for more flexibility on vacation, but since there isn't a specific table reserved for your party, there's no guarantee you'll be seated immediately.
The "Carnival Pride" offers five different stateroom styles (interior, ocean view, balcony, suite and penthouse suite). The interior staterooms have no windows, but ocean-view rooms have large windows, and balcony rooms give you a place to relax outside. All three types measure 185 square feet (though the balcony adds living space). If you're looking for a larger stateroom, the suites measure 250 to 275 square feet and also have large windows and a balcony, along with a separate sitting area and twin beds that convert to a king size. The penthouse suite, at 300 square feet, has all the amenities of the regular suites plus a whirlpool bathtub and a walk-in closet.
