How to Raise RV Leveling Jacks

Electric and hydraulic jacks in an RV help level out the RV so you can get a better night of sleep. This way you don't feel like you're falling out of bed. It also protects the refrigerator, and making it run more efficiently by letting the fluid run through it better. Jacks prevent you from having to use boards and other devices to level the RV. The jacks come out of the RV underneath the unit and lift and move the RV as directed to level the unit. Installing these jacks is not difficult.

Instructions

    • 1

Put the RV's transmission in park and apply the parking brake. Turn the ignition to on or accessory. Push the "on/off" switch to the "on" position on the level operating panel. The power light will be on.

    • 2

Move the front and back store levelers to the operate position. Nothing will happen at this time. Put the jacks to the vertical position by moving the center joystick to front extend and rear extend. The warning light will come on as soon at the jacks become vertical.

    • 3

Check to make sure all the jacks are vertical. A yellow light shows that someplace is low. Keep trying until the RV is level. Remember if the ground is not level and the rear of the vehicle is to high off the ground the vehicle may roll off the jacks.

    • 4

Extend the jacks that are not used after leveling the RV. This provides extra wind resistance and less shaking from any activity going on in the RV.

    • 5

Push the "on/off" switch to "off" on the operating panel. Turn off the switch.
