Dicor Corporation makes the product EDPM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) which is commonly used on rubber roofs.
The product must be applied by the manufacturer or RV owner and should last 30 years if it is installed properly.
It is crucial that no petroleum-based solvents, harsh abrasives or citric based cleaners are used on rubber roofs.
Using petroleum-based solvents on a rubber roof can do severe damage by penetrating the membrane and dissolving the adhesive holding it down. It can result in bubbles or large, loose patches.
Rubber roofs require care and are not cheap. However, if properly installed and maintained they are almost leak proof.
