Visit the Amtrak website and locate the booking widget on the left side of the home page. Insert your trip information into the appropriate fields and click the "Go!" button to see your travel options.
Select the most convenient option for your based on departure and destination stations, rate, class of service and preferred travel time. Type in your traveler information and use your credit card to book your seat(s) or room(s).
Select your ticket pickup option. You will be able to pickup tickets at automated dispensing machines or manned ticket windows prior to boarding. If you are purchasing tickets for a train departing more than 9 days in the future you will be given the option of having them mailed to a domestic U.S. address. Express mail service and international delivery is also available.
Visit the Amtrak Station Details page for information about how to get to your departure station and what to do when you get there. Leave ample time to collect your tickets at the station prior to boarding. Factor in enough time to check any luggage and locate your car and seat.
