How to Travel to Cleveland, Ohio From Columbus, Ohio

Travel from Columbus to Cleveland is possible by road and air. As of April 2011, there are no passenger rail connections between Columbus and Cleveland. Daily commercial airline service connects both Ohio cities, with flying time being approximately 40 to 50 minutes. Regular passenger buses is also possible, and travelers can also drive between to Cleveland via Interstate highways.

      Drive on Interstate 71 from downtown Columbus north to Cleveland. Interstate 71 connects with Interstate 91 in the downtown Cleveland area. Travel time between both cities is approximately two and a half hours.

      Fly to Cleveland from Columbus. Continental, under the Continental Connection and Continental Express brands, provides the only non-stop flights between Port Columbus International Airport and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. As of April 2011, four flights connect the cities on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, with three flights operating on remaining days.

      Travel by bus from Columbus to the Cleveland Greyhound Station. Buses depart from the Columbus Greyhound Station at 111 East Town Street and from Port Columbus International Airport. As of April 2011, Greyhound provides daily services to Cleveland from the Greyhound station, and Lake Front Lines offers daily buses from the airport and the Greyhound station. Travel time is between two and a half hours and three hours.
