How to Travel to Morocco From the USA

The principal cities of the kingdom of Morocco are Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, and Fes. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, France, Spain and Germany each tried to claim the country as its own. In 1912, most of Morocco became a French protectorate, with a small area falling under the jurisdiction of Spain; it gained its independence in 1956. The country is home to busy medieval cities, desert, relaxed beach towns and scenic mountain ranges. Casablanca and Marrakech are the main ports of entry.
