Campgrounds in Western Nevada

  1. Washoe Lake State Park

    • Located in the heart of Washoe Valley, Washoe Lake State Park offers 49 sites on a first-come, first-served basis for RV and tent campers. Although no hook-ups are available, each site has a table, grill and fire ring. Facilities and amenities include two comfort stations with showers, boat launches, a group use area, picnic sites, an equestrian trail, a viewing tower and interpretive displays. Some of the activities offered at the park include nature study, bird watching, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking, windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, jet skiing and fishing. Washoe Lake State Park is within 10 miles of Carson City and 15 miles of Reno.

    Davis Creek Campground

    • Davis Creek Campground has 63 sites for tent and RV campers with a fire ring, barbecue grill and picnic table at each site. The campground is open year-round and has flush toilets, piped water, garbage facilities, hot showers and a camp host during the summer months. Located in the foothills of the Carson Range, the park is a trailhead for the Ophir Creek Trail which leads to Mt. Rose Campground, which connects to the Tahoe Rim Trail. Some of the things that you can enjoy are fishing or ice skating in Davis Creek Park, located about five minutes from the campground, or visiting Washoe Lake State Park, about 10 minutes away.

    Reno RV Park

    • Reno RV Park offers 46 RV sites with pull-through access and full hook-ups. The pet-friendly park offers showers and restrooms, cable television, a laundry area, propane and ice sales, a storage area and a gated dog run area. You'll also find and on-site manager, a garden gazebo with picnic tables, coded security gates and free shuttle service to the downtown area. Reno RV Park is within walking distance of a few casinos including Harrah's Reno Hotel & Casino and Siena Hotel Spa & Casino. The Reno Aces ballpark is around the corner from the park and the Livestock Events Center is less than five minutes away.

    Keystone RV Park

    • A member of the Good Sam Club, Keystone RV Park offers 104 spaces with full hook-ups including cable and phone. This pet-friendly park has free Wi-Fi, a dog walking area, two restrooms with showers, two laundry rooms and a dump station. Next door, you'll find a shopping center with businesses such as a grocery store, postal service center and a medical facility. Enjoy outdoor recreation and sightseeing in Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake, Pyramid Lake, the old western towns of Virginia City and Carson City, located about 45 minutes from Keystone RV Park.
