Campgrounds Near Eureka, Nevada

Eureka is the largest community in Eureka County, which is located in central Nevada. The town was settled in 1864 by silver prospectors and mining is the town's economic mainstay. This rugged desert country is ideal for nature lovers, and there are three nearby campgrounds that can accommodate travelers.
  1. Silver Sky Lodge RV Park

    • The Silver Sky Lodge RV Park welcomes tourists, campers and long-term RV stays. Campers will find 15 hookups and numerous amenities, including a laundry room, bathrooms, showering facilities and a picnic pavilion. This modern park is within walking distance of Eureka, which combines a rugged environment with many comforts. A beauty salon, deli, tavern, ranch house and restaurant are all just a few minutes away. The Silver Sky Lodge is typically open from March through October, weather permitting. This is a small park and it is recommended that you call ahead when possible to ensure accommodations are available.

    Scotty's RV Park

    • Scotty's RV Park is located on the Eureka city outskirts and has 20 pull-through RV hookups and plenty of space for tents. Drinking water is available along with a dump station, toilets, showers and telephones. Pets are allowed at Scotty's RV Park provided they are kept on a leash. The proximity of this park to the town of Eureka allows guests access to a restaurant, diner, drive-in theater and tavern. This park is family-owned and open year-round, although it is recommended to call in advance when possible.

    Tonkin Spring

    • Tonkin Spring is located about 25 miles west of Eureka and slightly northwest of the Roberts Mountains, at the mouth of Red Canyon. This recreation site and campground is owned by the Bureau of Land Management and is extremely isolated and underdeveloped with no facilities. Tonkin Spring is ideal for the veteran outdoorsmen who prefer a serene and quiet setting and can survive with minimal creature comforts. Climbing, hiking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing are the main activities that attract visitors.
