Willard Bay State Park is situated approximately 20 miles north of Ogden off Interstate 15. The State Park is situated atop the Great Salt Lake flood plain and features over 9,900 acres of fresh water for boating, fishing and waterskiing. There are three campgrounds offering 62 campsites and feature restrooms with hot showers, full hookups, boat slips, beaches and a dump station for RVs.

Located in Brigham City approximately 50 miles north of Salt Lake City, Golden Spike RV Park is situated amongst the Wellsville Mountains. Established in 1999, the park offers 38 pull through sites with 30- or 50-amp full hookups. Open all year, it features easy access to Interstate 15, cable TV, Wi-Fi Internet, restrooms with showers, laundry facilities and RV parts in the on-site store. Visitors can enjoy Willard Bay State Park located approximately six miles from Golden Spike RV Park.

The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest encompasses nearly 2.1 million acres, including seven wilderness areas. With its close proximity to Salt Lake City and Ogden, according to the United States Department of Agriculture, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest is one of the most frequently visited in the nation. Visitors can enjoy bicycling, hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, swimming, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, among many other activities. The forest offers a variety of camping opportunities including tent and RV camping at campgrounds and backcountry camping throughout the Forest. Campers are asked to obey by "Leave No Trace" ethics and to pack out or properly dispense of trash as black bears have been seen throughout the forest.
