Jay Cooke State Park is located on the St. Louis River about 15 miles south of Duluth. Jay Cooke will provide you with an extensive trail system along the St. Louis River gorge, including a suspension foot bridge with a view of the waterfalls. You will also find a pioneer cemetery, beautiful views of the river gorge from Oldenburg Point and mountain biking trails.
The park offers 79 drive-in, four backpack and three walk-in campsites, five cabins and space for RV parking with electrical hookups.
The drive-in campground offers showers and flush toilets for your convenience, and interpretive programs such as the Minnesota Frogs and Toads walk and spring wildflower tours are conducted by naturalists at the park.

You will find 30 RV and tent sites with fire rings, picnic tables, bathrooms, a shower building and access to an RV dumping station at Knife River Campground.
The campground is located on Lake Superior, 20 miles north of Duluth and 8 miles south of Two Harbors, close to the Knife River and a portion of the Superior Hiking Trail. During the summer months, Knife River Campground plays host to fans of Grandma's Marathon, the Knife River Solstice run and the Knife River Music Festival.
The park is open for camping from May through October. You will find Deanna, the park host, teaching yoga to campers every Monday morning at 8:30 a.m.

You will find the headwaters of the mighty Mississippi River flowing gently out of Lake Itasca in the heart of Itasca State Park.
The park offers 223 drive-in campsites in two campgrounds, and 100 sites offer electrical hookups. In addition, you will find 11 backpack sites, 11 cart-in sites and one group campsite for up to 50 people. All sites offer fire rings and picnic tables, and both campgrounds offer showers and flush toilets.
Itasca contains 49 miles of hiking trails and 16 miles of paved bicycle trails. You can indulge in a cruise along Wilderness Drive through a 2,000-acre wilderness sanctuary, swim or fish in one of the 100 lakes in the park, climb an observation tower for a better view, go bird-watching or attend one of many naturalist programs available during spring, summer and fall.
