Hickory Lake Campground

• The Hickory Lake Campground is located a short distance south of Aitkin. In operation for over 40 years, the campground is situated on eight wooded acres along Hickory Lake. It has full hook-up sites that are available a on daily, weekly and seasonal basis. Among the features on the property are a game room, heated pool, a swimming beach, free wireless Internet service, a store and a playground. Popular with fishermen, the Hickory Lake Campground has docks and boat rentals. It is open from the beginning of May until the end of September. All the sites have sewer, water, 30-amp electrical service, a picnic table and a fire pit. There is a shower house with bathrooms and a coin-operated shower.

Ripple River RV Park

• Located along the banks of the Ripple River, the Ripple River RV Park is a few blocks south of Aitkin. The Ripple River Motel offers you a relaxing stay on the beautiful banks of the Ripple River. Surrounded by trees and next to the Ripple River Motel, the Ripple River RV Park has 19 sites. Most of the sites have 30- and 50-amp electrical service, sewer and water. Four of the sites just have electrical service and water. In addition to daily and weekly rates, Ripple Creak also has special seasonal packages. Pets are allowed as long as they are on a leash. Fires are allowed in fire pits and firewood is available to be purchased. Dumpsters and garbage cans are provided.

Pete's Retreat

• Pete's Retreat in Aitkin offers large wooded sites with pull-throughs up to 140 feet. Each full hook-site has a fire ring, picnic table and 20-, 30- and 50-amp electrical. Cable TV and Internet service are also provided, as well as a shower house. The property also has a lodge with a snack bar, restrooms and showers, TV room and RV supplies.
