Riverside Municipal Campground is located in Riverside Park, a 120-acre park on the banks of the Minnesota River. There are 10 tent-only and 11 RV/Trailer-only sites available with electric hook-ups, full bathrooms with showers, boat landing, and a sanitary dump station. Activities include: fishing in river or 2-acre fishing pond, swimming, boating, playground equipment, and miles of hiking and biking trails.

Located about 15 miles to the north of St. Peter are the Peaceful Valley Campsites in Le Sueur, Minnesota. The campground offers 50 tent and RV sites. Full water and electric hook-ups are available. Also available are: covered dining areas, laundry, Internet Wi-Fi, and full bathrooms with showers. Activities include: hiking, biking, a game room, and downhill and cross-country skiing nearby.

Winjum's Shady Acres of Le Center is located about 12 miles northwest of St. Peter on the shores of Clear Lake. There are about 75 full sites available with electric and water hook-ups, sewer, and a full restaurant and bar on-site. The campground is located right on the lake with a boat dock, so all water sports are available. Hiking, biking, and groomed snowmobile trails are also nearby.
