RV Campgrounds in Frazier Park, CA

Frazier Park, California, is small town in Kern County, in the Los Padres National Forest. There are several mountain ranges in the national forest, so Frazier Park offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy hiking, horseback riding and hunting, or they can fish and swim in Pyramid Lake. The town is within an hour of Six Flags Magic Mountain. Guests camping near Frazier Park can enjoy the unspoiled wilderness of a national forest while still being within an hour of Los Angeles and other large California towns.

    • The Chuchupate Campground is in Los Padres National Forest in the Mount Pinos Ranger Disctrict. The park is three miles from the Lake of the Woods, and has an elevation of 6,200 feet. Guests can enjoy picnicking, hiking and hunting. There are 30 campsites, and they are open from the spring through the fall. The park requires a $5 Adventure Pass for overnight camping, which is available at several local stores or at Forest Service stations. RVs more than 24 feet long are not permitted, and guests must have a Campfire Permit in order to have open flames at their site. Campfire permits are available at any ranger station in the Mount Pinos Ranger District. The park has restrooms, but does not have any handicapped-accessible facilities. Tent camping is also allowed in Chuchupate.

    Aliso Campground

    • The Aliso Campground is in Los Padres National Forest at an elevation of 3,200 feet. Guests enjoy hiking, horseback riding and bird watching. There are 10 RV sites, with a 28-foot limit. The park provides restrooms. Guests camping overnight must have a $5 Adventure Pass, which is available at local stores or at Forest Service stations. A free Fire Permit, available at ranger stations, is mandatory for those with open flames at their site. The roads in the campground are closed when it rains.

    Pyramid Lake RV Resort

    • Pyramid Lake RV Resort is 15 miles from Frazier Park and 10 minutes from Six Flags Magic Mountain. The park is within walking distance of Pyramid Lake. There are 117 RV sites, each with full hook-ups that include 30- or 50-amp electrical power. Each site also has cable television and wireless Internet access. Some sites have shade trees, concrete patios and a picnic table. The park has 50 pull-through sites for big rigs. Guests can enjoy the swimming pool, hot tub, and mini-golf course on-site. Pyramid Lake RV Resort also has a game room with a pool table, video rentals and cable television. The park provides an on-site laundry facility and a restroom with showers. A small grocery store and a cafe are also on the premises. The rates are for a family of four, and each additional guest is five dollars per day.
