The Fast Lane Swim Camp is managed in cooperation with Notre Dame College, Cleveland State University and Berea High School in Cleveland, Ohio. The camp operates locations at both universities in the Cleveland area. Created in 2001, the swim camp is designed for swimmers training for competition ages 7 to 18 and is backed by an experienced staff that guarantees the highest quality instruction for camp attendants. Each swimmer receives a personal DVD with his recorded professional strokes from an underwater view, camp t-shirt and swim cap. A small snack and drink is included for camp attendees daily.
Fast Lane recommends all attendees bring a water bottle, gym bag, combination lock for a locker, gym shoes, several training suits, several training swim caps, goggles, a towel, shorts, a t-shirt and socks. The camp runs four days a week from Monday through Thursday in the afternoon. Campers are supervised by Fast Lane staff from the time of arrival until a parent picks them up at the conclusion of the day.
Fast Lane attendees are taught four competitive swim strokes over the course of the camp--butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. Camp attendees have the opportunity to swim in an Olympic-size swimming pool to get a true feel for the skill level necessary to swim on a competitive level. Lessons and activities are taught by Fast Lane staff which compromise the collegiate swimming instructors for Notre Dame College and Cleveland State University including head coaches for both schools.
