The swimming camps in Pennsylvania cater to participants with skill levels ranging from beginners to competitive swimmers. Several camps offer both day camp opportunities as well as longer stay options for more thorough coaching experiences. Each of these camps utilize spacious swimming facilities and maintain small class sizes to provide individualized training for each participant.
The Nike Swim Camp at the University of Pittsburgh trains competitive swimmers in order to improve their skills and advance to the next level within the sport.
Participants are instructed on ways to improve their stroke techniques and may choose between overnight, day or extended day camps. The overnight and extended day camps include two or three workouts in the pool each day while the day camp includes two workouts.
There are two pools at the University of Pittsburgh. The first is a 21-lane, 50-meter pool with diving towers, and the second is a six-lane, 50-meter pool.
In addition to plenty of pool time to work on swimming stroke techniques, participants will also be instructed in proper nutrition.
