Why is military trail called so in palm beach Florida?

Military Trail in West Palm Beach is not named after the military. The actual origin is a bit murkier. One theory is that it was named after George Washington’s military secretary Robert Hanson Harrison. Harrison owned what was known as “New River Grant” in the late 18th Century.
