RV Campsites in the Area of St. Joe, Idaho

Idaho is a favorite state for people who travel with an RV because the state is full of fun and interesting sights. According to In Idaho, Shoshone Falls, near Twin falls, drops 52 feet further than Niagara falls. Furthermore, the state of Idaho has 3,100 miles of river running through it. This is more than any other state. According to In Idaho, the deepest river gorge in North America is located in the state. Hells Canyon is 7,900 feet deep.

    • Shadowy St. Joe campground is at an elevation of 2100 feet. It is located in Northern Idaho in between the towns of St. Joe and St. Maries. The campground is only open in the fall and summer. Furthermore, the maximum trailer size allowed in the campground is 45-feet. At Shadowy St. Joe Campground, the amenities include drinking water, fire rings, handicap access and vault toilets. The only activity that is near the campground is boating.

    St. Joe Landing

    • St. Joe Landing is located in between St. Joe and St. Maries. The campground has 16-hook up sites for RVs. This campground is only open in the summer and will only accommodate trailers up to 36 feet. Amenities near the campsite include drinking water, dump station, fire rings, full hookups, group area and a waterfront. This campsite allows pets. In addition, the activities in the area of the campsite include ATV riding, backpacking, biking, birdwatching, boating, canoeing, fishing, flyfishing, hiking, river rafting and swimming.

    Climate of Montana

    • Because of the unique features of Idaho such as its location and proximity to the mountains, the climate is very different from season to season as well as in different parts of the state. The dramatic changes in weather can make it difficult to camp with an RV during certain times of the year. For example, the temperature in Boise, Idaho can vary from -20 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter to 104 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer. In addition, snowfall totals in the northern part of Idaho has been known to reach 500 inches.
