    • 1

Unfold the tent on a flat piece of ground, and remove any debris from beneath it. Check where the front flap is located so that you can face the tent in the desired direction. Make sure that there are no depressions in the ground where rainwater could pool. Before moving on, lie down on the groundsheet to be certain that there are no sharp rocks still beneath the sheet and that the ground is not slanted.

    • 2

Unfold the ground sheet and rain fly netting. Stretch the netting over the ground sheet. Lay out the poles. There should be two long poles with eight interlocking sections, and two smaller fly pole with six sections. Check that you have the same amount of tent stakes and grommets, or tent stake loops, around the edge of the tent.

    • 3

Guide the two long poles through the seams at the top of the tent. They will form a cross at the center. Once they have slid all the way through the seams, place the tips into the grommets at the bottom of each corner of the tent. Each pole assembly will now resemble an upside down U shape.

    • 4

Connect the two smaller poles at the top of the tent, above the area that the two longer poles cross each other. Spread the rain fly netting over the top of these poles, and secure the pole tips into the pockets of the netting. Use the Velcro and plastic hooks on the seams to secure the netting on all sides.

    • 5

Hammer the tent stakes through the grommets at the corners of the tent first, then stake the sides. This will cause the tent to rise into a dome shape.
