From Chassahowitzka River Campground you can walk or boat to the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge. There are 81 campsites situated along a dirt road all have a picnic table and fire pit, with RV sites in a separate section from the primitive tent campsites. Pets are welcome with a rabies shot record but alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the campground. You can bring your own boat or rent one at the docks.

Homosassa River RV Resort, also known as Turtle Creek Resort, offers both tent and RV campsites on paved roads. The resort is located on Turtle Creek, which you can follow to the Homosassa River. Both the creek and river let fishermen try their hand at catching bluegill or large mouth bass, or snorkeling for scallops. Group activities such as summer fish fries, card games and pot luck dinners bring campers together. Other amenities include a heated swimming pool, modern laundry facilities, horseshoe pits and shuffleboard.

Nature's Resort RV Park offers a wide range of accommodations including tent sites, RV sites, chalet-style cabins and small manufactured homes, all available at daily, weekly or monthly rates. The park has a store which stocks camping supplies, groceries, medicine, propane, beer and wine. You can rent boats ranging in size from kayak up to pontoon boat from the marina, which also carries limited bait and tackle. Other park amenities include a restaurant, heated swimming pool, game room, arcade and planned activities like dances and crafts.
