Juniper Springs Recreation Area has 79 campsites under long leaf pine trees and sable palms. Water and electricity are available as well as a waste station. Each site has picnic table, fire ring and lantern post. Flush toilets and hot showers are provided. Canoeing is popular at this campground as it is the headwaters for a 7-mile canoe run along Juniper Creek. A convenience store is on site for firewood, ice and grocery sales. A historic water mill is also on site.

Blue Springs State Park feeds into the St. Johns River, and manatees swim up the St. Johns into Blue Springs State Park during the winter months when the water is warmer than the ocean. During the winter months when the manatee are residing at the springs, all water activities at the park are curtailed. During the summer, when the manatees have left, water activities resume. Camping is permitted year-round at the park's campground. The park has 51 campsites and is within walking distance to the springs where you can observe the manatees. Each site has water, electricity and a grill. Bathhouses are available with flush toilets and showers.

Alexander Springs is located within the Ocala National Forest, and there are 65 campsites available. There are no water or electric hookups at the sites, however, there are 15 water spigots throughout the campground. Flush toilets and hot showers are provided. The campground is in a subtropical climate with pines, sable palms and oak trees. Alexander Springs is a large freshwater spring that flows at 80 million gallons per day. Swimming, canoeing and scuba diving are allowed.
