Florida Campgrounds in Dade City

Located among the rolling hills in Central Florida, just 40 minutes from the beaches of the Gulf Coast, Dade City attracts many campers to enjoy its golf courses, lakes and parks such as the Withlacoochee State Trail. Approximately 40 minutes north of Tampa, Dade City has campgrounds that are mostly designed for owners of RVs.
  1. Travelers Rest Resort

    • Located 12 miles from downtown Dade City and 35 miles from Tampa, the Travelers Rest Resort is in a scenic area with citrus groves, horse farms and cattle ranches. This is a large campground with 654 sites that come with water, sewer and either 15-, 30- or 50-amp electrical connections. There are many recreational opportunities, including a nine-hole golf course with a practice range and putting green, a heated pool and spa, and tennis, shuffleboard and bocce ball courts. The resort has Internet access, cable TV and public phones. For your convenience it also has a laundry facility, picnic pavilions, restrooms, showers, a grocery store and a snack bar. Three lakes are located on the property where guests can fish.

    Seven Acres RV Park

    • The Seven Acres RV Park in Dade City has 160 RV sites that can handle big rigs. All sites are pull-throughs with full hook-ups and 20-, 30- and 50-amp electrical connections. Open throughout the year and designed for seniors over 55, the campground is for RVs only with no tent camping allowed. Among its facilities are an air-conditioned laundry room, a recreation hall with a full kitchen and a propane-filling station. Ponds can be found at both the front and back of the property, and various special events are hosted in the recreation hall such as pig roasts, bingo nights and potluck dinners. Pool tables, books and an organ are all located in the clubhouse, while shuffleboard courts can be found just outside it.

    Wynnhaven Riverside RV Park

    • Approximately 20 miles to the north of Dade City in Bushnell, Wynnhaven Riverside RV Park has added a Big Fish General Store and Deli that carries camping supplies, fishing equipment, groceries and sandwiches. The park has primitive camp sites with water and electric as well as RV sites with full hook-ups and electrical connections up to 50 amps. Ten boat slips are available on a property with a boat launch that also has canoes and kayaks for rent. Campers can also take advantage of a coin-operated laundry. Mailboxes are available for long-term residents. Restrooms with showers and two picnic pavilions are provided at a campground that allows pets.

    Ridge Manor Campground

    • The Ridge Manor Campground can be found nine miles to the north of Dade City. This is a 55-and-over mobile home and RV park spread out over 20 acres. Ridge Manor features social activities for its residents such as weekly coffee meetings, bingo nights, sing alongs, crafts and golf trips. Restrooms, showers, a large clubhouse and laundry facilities are among its amenities. The campground also has a picnic area with grills, horseshoe pits, a pool table in its clubhouse and shuffleboard courts. The RV sites, which come with cable TV connections, can be rented on a daily to year-round basis. The mobile home sites are located in the rear of the campground in a grove of oak trees.
