KOA Williamsburg is a 180-acre campground with tent and RV sites. Guests may also choose to stay in one of the one- or two-room Kamping Kabins or one of the new Lodges with indoor plumbing. The campground operates seasonally from March 1-Dec. 31, and amenities include two heated pools, Wi-Fi, free cable and two laundries. For entertainment, there are game rooms, outdoor movies, bicycles and playgrounds, plus volleyball, jumping pillow, horseshoes and basketball. Pets are welcome, and the campground provides Kamp K9 dog parks for fun and exercise. The KOA Williamsburg Campground is close to Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Water Country, Jamestown and Yorktown, as well as shopping and golf.

Chickahominy Riverfront Park, run by James City County, Virginia, offers 180 campsites on a bluff overlooking the water. The campground is open year-round for both tent and RV camping, and offers lower seasonal monthly rates during the offseason. A few campsites have water access and a scenic view. The 140 acres of county land features two outdoor swimming pools, a golf driving range, boat ramp and rentals, as well as a fishing pier, playgrounds, a camp store and picnic shelters. The Chickahominy Riverfront Park has direct access to the Virginia Capital Trail where visitors can explore the Chickahominy River and Gordon Creek.
