Ogemaw Sport and Trail

• Situated in Rose City, the Ogemaw Sport and Trail offers both ATV trails and camping. The motocross tracks and ATV trails are for riders of all levels and are located on 120 acres or private land. Some of the trails go up steep hills. The property has a large pavilion next to the main motocross track. All of the camping sites are off-road friendly and offer access to the tracks and trails. Campsites are available on both a seasonal and non-seasonal basis. Most of the sites have electric and water hook-ups.

  Amenities for campers include flush toilets, showers and a dump station. Tent campsites are also available. Other recreational opportunities include sand volleyball, horseshoes and hiking. Ogemaw Sport and Trail also offers direct access to hundreds of miles of other Michigan ORV trails.

Mack Lake Campground

• The Mack Lake Campground has 42 campsites that all come with fire pits and picnic tables. Several popular ATV trails go through the park, which also has a 175-acre lake. The Beaver Loop portion of the campground provides ATV trail access year round. Restrooms and drinking water are available in this area along with a swimming beach and picnic area that comes with grills. The other portion of the campground is the White Pine Loop. This area is a group site with two vault toilets, a hand pump for water, three picnic tables and two fire pits. Reservations are required for the group site, which is open from mid-May to the middle of September.

Ambrose Lake State Forest Campground

• The Ambrose Lake State Forest Campground in West Branch has 19 camping sites, most of which will accommodate vehicles with a trailer. There's also an ATV trail at the campground. It's a primitive campground with vault toilets and potable water from a well hand pump. In addition to the ATV opportunities, the Ambrose Lake State Forest Campground has fishing and boat access. The sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and reservations are not accepted. It does not have showers, electricity or flush toilets. It has 23 miles of trails that wind through woods are limited to vehicles less than 50'' wide.
