The Staybridge Suites Gulf Shores is a pet-friendly hotel located just minutes from the white sandy beaches. Pets are allowed with a nonrefundable fee of $75 for one to seven nights and $150 for seven or more nights, as of May 2010. Pets must weigh less than 80 pounds and have a complete and up-to-date vaccinations record and guests must sign a pet agreement form upon arrival at the hotel. The hotel has 88 guest rooms and features a hot breakfast, wireless Internet, 24-hour fitness center, outdoor pool, convenience store, BBQ grills and a business center. Each guest room has cable TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a desk, DVD player, a sofa bed and a separate hanging closet.

Pets are allowed to stay at the Gulf State Park; however, there are a few places they cannot go within the park. Pets cannot go into any of the park facilities, like the park headquarters, campground office, camp store, cabins (except 19 & 20), cottages and the pier house. Cabins 19 and 20 are pet-friendly cabins and charge a $15 fee per dog, per night, as of May 2010. Pets are allowed on the trails and the campground. The park has 496 campsites. All camping pads are paved and there are some RV sites available. Beaches are approximately one and a half miles from this state park. Pets must be on a leash at all times while in the park and the number of dogs per visiting group is limited to two. The cabins have a fully equipped kitchen, screened porch, BBQ grill and picnic table.

The Fort Morgan RV Park is pet-friendly. Dogs are allowed for no additional fee but must be leashed and under their owners' control at all times. Dogs are allowed on the dock and are welcome to take a swim. Contact the park before bringing your pet as there are some breed restrictions. Dogs are allowed in the tent and camping area and there is a dog walk area at the campground. The park has 35 RV sites, camping sites, a 200-foot fishing pier and beaches are just one and a half miles from the park.
