RV Campgrounds in the Grand Canyon

RV campers staying overnight in Grand Canyon National Park have a few campgrounds to select from at the less-developed North Rim and the more-popular South Rim. During the busy season---early March through mid November---the busy campgrounds fill up quickly, so make your reservations early. The National Recreation Reservation Service will take reservations up to six months in advance.
  1. North Rim Campground

    • The North Rim of Grand Canyon is the place to go if you are looking for few crowds and cooler summer temperatures. The North Rim and its campground are open seasonally, usually from mid-May through mid-October. The North Rim Campground, located in close proximity to the North Rim Lodge and Visitor Center, is equipped with campsite grills, picnic tables, flush toilets, running water, shower and laundry facilities and a dump station, but there are no hookups. RV, tent only and group sites are available. Generator use is limited to 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Reservations are required for North Rim Campground from mid-May through mid-October. Between mid-October and the closing of the road into the area, first-come, first-served sites are available.
