The Petoskey-Tannery Creek Modern Campground is located in Petoskey State Park. There are three campgrounds inside the park, but Tannery Creek has the most amenities. Tannery Creek has 98 campsites, as well as a mini-cabin. Some sites also come with 50-amp electrical service. The campground has its own restroom facilities. The park itself is located on 303 acres of forest, and also includes a children’s playground and a sandy beach. Visitors to the park can hike, swim, picnic, sunbathe, bike and cross-country ski.

Magnus Municipal Park has its own pet-friendly campground, with 72 modern RV sites. All sites come with water, sewer and electrical hook-ups. Shower facilities are available. Some sites are pull-through. In addition to RVs, tent camping is allowed. The park is located right on the edge of Little Traverse Bay, which has 1,000 feet of bathing beach, bicycle paths, picnic tables and children’s play area. The park also has an overlook called Wayside where visitors can sit and enjoy views of the bay.

Hearthside Grove RV Park is an upscale resort with 71 over-sized sites. All spaces are equipped with full hook-ups and 20 by 70-foot concrete pads. Hearthside offers concierge services and full range of amenities, such as laundry rooms, a business center, fitness room, swimming pool, poolside barbecue and bar and Jacuzzi. RV lots can be rented for short-term stays or purchased outright if you want to make your stay more permanent.
