RV Parks in Chinle, Ariz.

Chinle, Arizona, is located about 15 miles west of the New Mexico border in the northern part of the state. Chinle is surrounded by the Canyon de Chelly National Monument, which was the home to three different Native American tribes. The national monument features hiking and biking trails that can take up to a day to complete. Some of the trails offer guided tours that include overnight backpack camping.
  1. Canyon de Chelly/Cottonwood Campground

    • Located inside the Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Cottonwood Campground is a free facility that is open year-round. The campground offers 96 sites from April through September and 25 sites the rest of the year. Cottonwood Campground does feature restrooms but does not have any showers. The campground also does not offer any electric or sewer connections.

      Cottonwood Campground does include water faucets at sites that are operational from April through September. Canyon de Chelly has hiking, biking and horseback riding trails throughout the facility and guided tours also are available.

    Spider Rock Campground

    • Camping in the wilderness is the setting at Spider Rock Campground. The facility features 30 sites that will accommodate RVs, but they do not include any electric, water or sewer connections. Spider Rock Campground offers bath facilities and showers for an additional daily fee.

      The campground has a 3-mile trail that leads into Canyon de Chelly National Monument. Hikers can also participate in guided hiking tours and an overnight backpacking hike into the canyon. Spider Rock Campground also has a camp store in the office for refreshments and camping supplies.

    Many Farms Lake RV Park

    • Many Farms Lake RV Park is a small camping facility with only 10 RV sites. Many Farms Lake RV Park's sites feature full electric, water and sewer connections. The park is located about a half-mile off Highway 191 in Chinle. It is only about three miles from the Canyon de Chelly National Monument.

      Many Farms Lake RV Park is currently open, and the park is being developed into a full-service RV campground with additional sites and amenities. Campers at Many Farms Lake RV Park can participate in hiking, mountain biking and ATV riding at nearby Canyon de Chelly National Monument.
