Jetboils are portable cooking systems used primarily for camping, backpacking, or hiking. These small devices are used to quickly boil water in order to prepare hot beverages or meals. Jetboils are available in varying sizes to accommodate the needs of one person or a group. When using a Jetboil, it is important to remember that this device is intended for outdoor use and operating the Jetboil in an enclosed space can be dangerous or even fatal.
Unscrew the burner base from the bottom of the Jetboil cooking cup.
Remove the cap from the top of the fuel cartridge and then screw the fuel cartridge into the bottom of the burner base.
Pour water into the Jetboil cooking cup. Do not fill the cooking cup above the MAX FILL line.
Press the ignitor button on the burner base repeatedly while slowly turning the control valve to release fuel. Continue to do this until you observe a flame.
Position the Jetboil cooking cup over the flame and carefully set it in place on top of the burner base. Turn the cooking cup until it locks into place. Set the lid loosely on top of the cooking cup to trap heat and reduce cooking time.
Turn off the Jetboil by turning the control valve to cut off the fuel supply when the water has reached a boil. The boiling water can now be used to prepare beverages or food.
