Take off the top cover of the Jetboil and remove the burner assembly. Remove the fuel canister. The remaining piece, which forms the pot or cup, will be used to store the water for cooking purposes.
Remove the cooking stand from the Jetboil packaging. Secure the burner to the base of the stand so that it snaps in place. Connect the Jetboil fuel cartridge to the base of the burner by screwing it into place.
Examine the interior of the cup/pot piece to find the "max fill" line. Pour water into the cup/pot until the "max fill" line is reached. Do not fill the cup over that line. Replace the top cover on the cup.
Examine the burner assembly for a fuel valve. Open the fuel valve slightly to release fuel while repeatedly pressing the fuel igniter button positioned at the base of the burner. Repeat this action until a flame appears.
Place the cup on top of the burner base. Position the cup so that it rests directly over the flame for the most efficient cooking. Rotate the cup until it snaps in place.
After the water has boiled, turn the control valve in the opposite direction to close it. Use the boiling water for a beverage or cooking.
