The Internet has made easy many endeavors that once took transportation, considerable time and energy to accomplish. These days, sending a gift can be done in minutes from your home. This includes sending lavish bon voyage gifts that can be delivered to a stateroom on a cruise hundreds or thousands of miles away.
Royal Caribbean offers three ways to order a bon voyage gift basket for a cruise. The easiest is over the Internet, where you can view and select your order yourself. Food and candy orders can be requested anytime up to the second day of sailing. Wine and flowers are delivered on the day of boarding. You can view additional information about delivery schedules on the website.
Log on to Royal Caribbean's gift catalog website (see Resources), where a selection of gifts is offered. For flower arrangements, click on "Floral Expressions"; for gift baskets, click on "Scrumptious Treats." Or, if you prefer, you can select "Culinary Collections," which includes a number of creative combinations of wine and nibbles.
Select the item by writing down the order number. If you don't see what you want to order, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and select another topic. Pick the item you want to purchase, and write down the order number.
Scroll to the top of the page, and click on the "Begin Order" icon on the left. You will be taken to a registration page where you can enter the recipient's name, reservation number, date of departure and ship.
Follow the prompts for entering the delivery directions, sender's name and address, and credit card details.
Follow Steps 1 and 2 for Online orders.
Scroll to the top of the page, and click on "Download an order form" if ordering by fax. Go to Step 6 if ordering by phone.
A faxable order form will be downloaded. Write down the fax number next to the link you clicked. Type in the requested information, sign it, and then print a copy.
Fill out the form, and include the order number of the item you selected. Be sure to click on the radio button indicating whether the item is to be delivered to the stateroom or dining room, and include the payment choice.
Print the completed form, and fax it to the number specified.
