Select a melt and pour, or MP, soap base formula that suits your preference. For example, goat's milk soap base is hypoallergenic, and honey soap base is gentle and contains the slight aroma of honey, which adds to the fragrance. Place a cup of your chosen MP base into a 2 qt. glass bowl.
Microwave the bowl for two to three minutes, or until the soap base has melted into a thin liquid.
Create a blend of one ounce fragrance and essential oil. For example 1/4 ounce each of lavender, mint, vanilla and rose, creates a curiously feminine and floral perfume for your soap.
Stir the blended fragrance into the melted soap base with the disposable stirring wand. Pour this into a soap mold that is equal to eight ounces in volume.
Place the mold in your freezer for one hour. Remove it from the freezer; then let it sit until it reaches room temperature, so it can harden without sweating. Leaving it in the freezer too long promotes sweating, which makes the bar too moist.
Add the distilled water and vodka to the spray bottle. Vodka provides the alcohol base for your perfume. Alternatively you can use ethyl rubbing alcohol.
Create a blend of essential and fragrance oils in a dish. Experiment with different scents for top-notes, and base-notes. Woody scents make nice base-notes for musks and masculine sprays, while floral and fruit scents make good base-notes for feminine sprays. Get creative and take your time, using a disposable pipette for each different scent.
Add the scent you have created to the spray bottle with the alcohol and distilled water.
Secure the cap on the bottle and shake it vigorously. The perfume spray can be used immediately on your body, or even as an air freshener.
