The Six Flags Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom is near the heart of the Lake George area. The park features several themed sections such as Wiggles World, Ghost Town, Looney Tunes National Park, Storytown and the Fest area and offers more than 50 rides. Kids will enjoy Elmer Fudd's Scenic Railway and the big red cars, and families can try the balloon ferris wheel or bumper cars as a group. The water park, Splashwater Kingdom, is a haven for those seeking relief from the summer heat. Stash your stuff in your private locker while you frolic in the Lumberjack Splash Wave Pool or take a ride down Twister Falls. Private cabana rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Great Escape is open from late May through early September.

The Six Flags Great Escape Lodge, home of the White Water Bay indoor water park, is located roughly five miles from downtown Lake George. The 38,000-square-foot park has fun for the whole family. You can take surfing lessons at the Boogie Bear Surf, tube down the Tak-it-eesi-Creek or slide down Snow Shoe Falls.
There are plenty of activities for little ones, such as the Tall Timbers Treehouse, with more than 160 interactive water features, and the Tip-A-Kanu-Beach, designed for children up to 6 years old. White Water Bay does not forget the parents and offers Soakum Springs, a warm water spa where adults can relax. Admission to the park is free for guests of the lodge. Visitors may purchase daily passes at the gate.

The Magic Forest is a good place for visitors with toddlers and young children to visit. The park will delight the little ones with more than 19 rides designed just for them. The family will enjoy the Ferris wheel, train and one-mile safari tram where make-believe dinosaurs, jungle animals and pirates dot the countryside. Costumed characters roam the park throughout the day, interacting with visitors and posing for pictures, and the petting zoo features a variety of animals.
Magic Forest features two daily shows, including a magic show that lets the kids in on the action, as well as Lightning, the diving horse. At the end of the day, walk the Fairy Trail, where children can push buttons on the story exhibits to hear their favorite fairy tales.
