Indoor water parks in northern New York, open throughout the year, offer a variety of pools, water slides and interactive water features. Since these water parks are open year-round, couples and families can visit during any season.
Big Splash is an indoor water park in Highland, New York. Owned by the Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, Big Splash is known for its 230-foot indoor waterslide. Big Splash has several water attractions, including interactive fountains. The water walk challenge invites children and adults to attempt to pull themselves over a net on tubes without falling off. The water park also features dumping buckets, geysers and twin racing slides. For younger children, the Mining Town Aqua Station offers an interactive water attraction with a wading pool.
The Rocking Horse Ranch Resort is an all-inclusive resort with several rooms and suites. Guests at the Rocking Horse have unlimited access to the Big Splash water park and all-you-can-eat meals at the resort's restaurant.

White Water Bay is a water park at the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge in Queensbury, New York. White Water Bay activities include the Boogie Bear Surf wave pool and the Tall Timbers Treehouse, a multi-level structure with interactive features and water slides. For visitors interested in a more relaxing time, the Tak-it-eesi-Creek is a lazy river where guests can float through the entire water park on plastic tubes. The Six Flags Great Escape Lodge offers 200 rooms. While many guests of White Water Bay choose to stay at the lodge, it is not a requirement for visiting the water park.

Aquazonia–located at the Glacier Lakes Resort in Farmington, New York–is an indoor water park that features a variety of wave pools, waterfalls and slides. The entire water park is designed to be an "ecosystem,” according to the Aquazonia web site. The water park offers "archaeological discovery expeditions" for children and adults. These expeditions allow guests to go on pretend archaeological trips around the park. Aquazonia is scheduled to open in spring 2010.
The Glacier Lakes Resort owns Aquazonia. The Glacier Lakes Resort is located next to Aquazonia and features two hotels, a concert center, restaurants and shops. Aquazonia visitors are not required to stay at Glacier Lakes Resort.
